Marguerite Leger -
Social Worker

Marguerite Leger

Marguerite Leger is a social worker who graduated from Stony Brook University with a focus on youth transition to adulthood (YTA). Through her involvement in community service, she was recognized with two awards for excellence. She has experience working with underserved patients as well as non-underserved patients giving me knowledge and wisdom in both areas. To make the transition to adulthood less strenuous for her patients, she likes to usually use the following phase: The 3 C’s which are: Catch it, check it, and change it. The goal is to ascertain their objectives and evaluate each patient’s circumstances, assets, and support with social assistance, or employment. By following the 3 C’s she can better support and guide them towards a less stressful path. With this, her goal is to help every one of her patients achieve success.
In Marguerite’s free time, she enjoys spending time with her family. Her husband and her two children inspire me each day and remind me to improve on her goals and live a happy life. Marguerite also enjoys cooking, shopping, watching different news stations, and taking long trips with my family!
